I am not sure how to get it to work when you are hosting, but this is what worked for me. I am playing with a controller and the way I got it to work was to just use your controller to get to the character you want to play as and leave your selection over the character you want to play as and have the other person hit start.

i know that, but nuclear throne together has two slots for frog and skeleton, and id like to know how to unlock them. Once she is dead she will drop the frog pistol. I press everything in my controller & keyboard, but nothing happens :CCC The same thing happened to me. Frog - At L1 2-1 you need to fight Mom with a golden weapon. I pressed all my keyboard like an angry gorilla, and only that way I can play with my favorite character, Y.V, but I can't do that thing again. I played the mod one time, my first time, exactly, and I was playing with my controller and when I was pressing A it autmatically directed me to Frog. At that point, it did let me play just fine with a random character. The only thing I could do was select random. Skeleton is unlocked by dying as Melting in 6-1 (The Labs) and being resurrected by. May contain spoilers about secret bosses, areas, and game mechanics. To do this, simply destroy The Throne and walk onto its defeated corpse. which I also could not select by pushing 'A'. Rogue is unlocked by defeating The Throne boss at 7-3 (The Palace Stage 3) and sitting on The Throne. When I attempted to pick a character (eg Fish) by pressing 'A' it automatically directed me to Frog. I was not able to pick any character with the controller. I was only able to get it to work by plugging it in before starting the game. The controller will not work if you plug it in while the game is active.
